ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about April 20 and June 17, 1949, from the State of Ohio into the State of Pennsylvania. LABEL IN PART : (Portion) "White Turkish Delight Made of Pure Cane Sugar, Almonds and One Per Cent Corn Starch Made by Stark Candy Co. Canton, Ohio." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of larvae, insect frag- ments, including fragments of flies, rodent hairs, rodent hair fragments, and cat hairs; and, Section 402 (a.) (4), it had been prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION: December 2, 1949. A plea of guilty having been entered, the court imposed a fine of $750 and costs and placed the defendant on probation for 1 year.
