The chili peppers were shipped on or about September 18,1948, from Huntington Beach, Calif. PRODUCT: 5 50-pound bags of brazil nuts and 4 bags, each containing approxi- mately 290 pounds, of chili peppers at St. Louis, Mo. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the articles consisted in whole or in part of decomposed substances by reason of the presence of (brazil nuts) moldy and rancid nuts and (chili peppers) mold. The articles were adulterated while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : January 25, 1950. Default decree of condemnation and destruction.
