ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about July 28, 1950, by the Pine Grove Canning Co., Inc., from St. Martinville, La. PRODUCT: 1,473 cases, each containing 24 1-pound, 3-ounce cans, of cut okra at San Francisco, Calif. LABEL IN PART : "Pine Grove Brand Cut Okra." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a decomposed substance. DISPOSITION : November 22, 1950. The Pine Grove Canning Co., Inc., claimant, having consented to the entry of a decree, judgment of condemnation was entered and the court ordered that the product be released under bond, con- ditioned that it be brought into compliance with the law, under the supervision of the Federal Security Agency. On July 30, 1951, the claimant abandoned attempts at sorting out the unfit portion of the product, and the entire lot was destroyed.
