NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (2), a mixture of black pepper and paradise seed had been substituted in whole or in part for black pepper. Misbranding, Section 403 (a), the label statement "Ground Black Pepper" was false and misleading as applied to a mixture of black pepper and paradise seed. DISPOSITION : May 25, 1951. Default decrees of condemnation. The court ordered that the product be delivered to a charitable institution.
