LABEL IN PART : "Liver-Yeast Extract Tablets. Each Tablet Contains * * * '(Vitamin Bi) 85 I. U." and "Syrup of Fenatrate Bi * * * Vitamin B* (2640. int. units,) 8.0 mg." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (b) (1), a valuable constituent, , vitamin B1? ha*d been in whole or in part omitted or abstracted from the article. Misbranding, Section 403 (a), the label statements (liver and yeast ex- tract tablets) "Each Tablet Contains * *» * (Vitamin Bi) 85 I. U." and (Fenatrate syrup) "Vitamin Bi (2640 int. units) 8.0. mg." were false and misleading as applied to the articles, which contained less than the declared amounts of vitamin Bi. The articles were adulterated and misbranded while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : June 13, 1952. Default decree of condemnation and destruction.
