ALLEGED SHIPMENT : The sesame seed was shipped on or about January 16,1951, from China; the poppy seed was shipped prior to January 25, 1951, from Czechoslovakia; and the cumin seed was shipped on or about April 28, 1951, from India. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the products consisted in whole or in part of filthy substances by reason of the presence of insects. The products were adulterated while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : December 7,1951. D. Hecht & Co. having appeared as claimant, judgment of condemnation was entered and the court ordered that the prod- ucts be released under bond to be disposed of in compliance with the law, under the supervision of the Food and Drug Administration. 2,975 pounds of poppy seed, 6,750 pounds of cumin seed, and 3,512 pounds of sesame seed were salvaged.
