ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about December 29, 1951, from Gainesville, Ga. PRODUCT: 29 cases, each containing 12 1-pound cartons, of frozen chicken gizzards at Little Rock, Ark. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of wood, feathers, dirt, and intestinal contents. Misbranding, Section 403 (a), the label statement "Thoroughly Cleaned," which appeared on the cartons, was false and misleading. The product was adulterated and misbranded while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION: February 18, 1952. Default decree of condemnation and destruction.
