PRODUCT: 446 cases, each containing 12 1-quart, 14-fluid-ounce cans, of to- mato juice at Peoria, Ill. LABEL, IN PART: "Companion * * * Tomato Juice." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole in part of a filthy and decomposed substance by reason of the presence of fly eggs and decomposed tomato material; and, Section 402 (a) (4), it had been prepared under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become con- taminated with filth. DISPOSITION : February 28, 1952. Default decree of condemnation and de- struction.
