PRODUCT: 2,500 vitamin B complex capsules in 3 bottles at Los Angeles, Calif. LABEL IN PART : "Vitamin B-Complex Each Capsule Contains Thiamine Hydro- chloride U. S. P. 3 Mg." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration", Section 402 (b) (1), a valuable constituent, thiamine hydrochloride, had been in part omitted. Misbranding, Section 403 (a), the label statement "Each Capsule Contains Thiamine Hydrochloride U. S. P. 3 Mg." was false and misleading. Analysis disclosed that the product contained approximately 67 percent of the declared amount of thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin Bi). The product was adulterated and misbranded while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : March 26,1952. Default decree of condemnation and destruction.
