ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about April 20, 23, and 24, 1952, by the Cavalier Poultry Corp., from Harrisonburg, Va. PRODUCT: 943 pounds of dressed turkeys at New York, N. Y. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the product consisted in whole or in part (both lots) of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of birds which were contaminated with fecal matter; and (1 lot) of a decom- posed substance by reason of the presence of decomposed birds, and it was otherwise unfit for food by reason of the presence of extensively bruised birds. Further adulteration, Section 402 (a) (5), the product was in whole or in part (1 lot) the product of a diseased animal. DISPOSITION: June 11, 1952. Default decree of condemnation. The court ordered that samples of the product be delivered to the Food and Drug Ad- ministration and that the remainder be destroyed.
