ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about October 2, 1952, by the Tanle Products Co., from Seattle, Wash. PRODUCT: 286 cases, each containing 12 12-ounce jars, of peanut butter at Salt Lake City, Utah. LABEL IN PART: "Beverly Peanut Butter Chunky [or"Creamy"] Style." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insect fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), the article had been prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth.. DISPOSITION: December 29, 1952. Default decree of condemnation and de- struction.
