ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about October 6, 7, and 8, 1952, from the State of Illinois into the State of Indiana, of quantities of bread, cofEeecake, sweet rolls, doughnuts, and fried pastry. LABEL IN PART : "100% Pumpernickle," "Cocktail Salt Rye," "Golden Zizel Rye Bread," "Egg Twist (Cha-La)," "Cocktail Snack Rye," "Vienna Bread," and "Tasty Coffee Cake." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the articles consisted in part of filthy substances by reason of the presence of insects, insect fragments, and rodent hair fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), the articles had been prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby they may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION: June 3, 1953. Pleas of guilty having been entered, the court fined the corporation $1,000 and the individual $500, plus costs.
