ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about November 4,1950, from Albany, Ga. PRODUCT: 38 cases, each containing 25 1-pound bags, of unshelled pecans at Seattle, Wash. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 4#2 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of insect- damaged pecans, and of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of moldy pecans; and the article was otherwise unfit for food by reason of the presence of rancid peKans. The article was adulterated while held for sale after shipment in interstate commerce. DISPOSITION : May 18, 1953. Default decree of condemnation and destruction.
