ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about October 19, 1953, by the Hanline Poultry Co., from Charlotte, N. C. PRODUCT: 248 pounds of dressed turkeys in 4 crates at New York, N. Y. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the article consisted in whole or in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of birds which were contaminated with fecal matter, crop material, and extraneous matter, and of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of decomposed birds. DISPOSITION : December 4, 1953. Default decree of condemnation. The court ordered that a portion of the product be delivered to the Food and Drug Admin- istration and that the remainder be destroyed.
