ALLEGED SHIPMENT : On or about August 11, 19, and 20, and September 14, 1953, from the State of Louisiana into the States of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, and Ohio. LABEL IN PART: (Can) "Keuther's One Pound Net Weight Crab Meat" and "Marvelous Brand Small Wet Pack Drained Wt. 5 Ozs. Shrimp." NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the canned shrimp con- sisted in part of a decomposed substance by reason of the presence of decom- posed shrimp, and the fresh crabmeat consisted in part of a filthy substance by reason of the presence of fecal micro-organisms; and. Section 402 (a) (4), the fresh crabmeat was prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby it may have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : April 28,1954. The defendant having entered a plea of guilty, the u court fined it $1,200.
