RESULTS OF INVESTIGATION: Analysis showed that the article contained less than 75 percent of the declared amount of vitamin Bi. LIBELED : 11-22-55, Dist. Minn. CHARGE: 402 (b) (1)—a valuable constituent, vitamin Bi, had been in part omitted or abstracted from the article while held for sale; and 403 (a)- the statement on the label of the article while held for sale, namely, "1 tablet with each meal and 1 at bedtime provides the following amounts of vitamins and minerals: Vitamin B-1 12 mg.," was false and misleading. 403 (j)—the article purported to be a food for special dietary purposes by reason of its vitamin and mineral content, and its label, when shipped, failed to bear, as required by the regulations, a statement of the proportion of the minimum daily requirements of vitamin Bi, vitamin B2, iron, iodine, calcium, and phosphorus supplied by the article when consumed in a specified quantity during a period of 1 day; and, since the need in human nutrition for panto- thenic acid, choline, biotin, manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, and zinc has not been established, its label failed also to bear the statement "The need for pantothenic acid, choline, biotin, manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, and zinc in human nutrition has not been established."
