CHARGE: 402(b) (1)—when shipped, a valuable constituent of the article, apple 
cider vinegar, had been in part omitted from the article; 402(b) (4)—artificial 
color had been added to the article and mixed and packed with it so as to 
make it appear better or of greater value than it was; 403(a)—the label 
statement "Pure Apple Cider Vinegar" was false and misleading as applied 
to the article, which consisted of a mixture of artificially colored apple cider 
vinegar and distilled vinegar or acetic acid; and 403(k)—the article con- 
tained artificial coloring, caramel color, and failed to bear labeling stating 
that fact.
PLEA :   Guilty.
DISPOSITION:   9-12-58.   Each defendant fined $500, plus one-half the costs.
